Desert Youth Hockey Association is involved with several leagues that are selected based on location, age division and the opportunities that they provide to our players. We are committed to obtaining the highest levels of competitive player development, while maintaining a realistic balance in our commitment to our players in both their development as athletes and as maturing young people.

Now in its third season, the North American Prospects Hockey League (PHL) is made up of 42 Midget Major (17), Midget Minor (18) and Bantam Major (7) teams from 20 programs that compete at the Tier I AAA level.

The PHL is comprised of five regular-season events leading up to its Championship Tournament Series in which the top teams at each level compete for a league championship.


SuperSeries AAA Hockeyis generally restricted to the top 25 teams in the United States and SuperSeriesLogo-sm1Canada according toMYHockeyRankings.com with priority given to the Top 20 AAA teams.  Teams should be Tier I for the 18U, 16U, 14U, and 12U age divisions.  The SuperSeries falls under USA hockey.  ONLY Teams with legitimate T1 rosters are allowed to participate.

The High Performance Hockey League (HPHL) was created to bring together organizations of like mindedness, notably a philosophical HPHL-logo-smcommitment to USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM) and its Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) recommendations which includes age-specific development of young athletes. The clubs are connected by history, purpose, and proximity, and bound by a mutual interest in creating a highly competitive training and developmental environment
