Leagues

Desert Youth Hockey Association is involved with several leagues that are selected based on location, age division and the opportunities that they provide to our players. We are committed to obtaining the highest levels of competitive player development, while maintaining a realistic balance in our commitment to our players in both their development as athletes and as maturing young people.

Now in its third season, the North American Prospects Hockey League (PHL) is made up of 42 Midget Major (17), Midget Minor (18) and Bantam Major (7) teams from 20 programs that compete at the Tier I AAA level.

The PHL is comprised of five regular-season events leading up to its Championship Tournament Series in which the top teams at each level compete for a league championship.

The National Junior Prospects Hockey League is a showcase hockey league which was created and designed by coaches in order to develop and promote hockey players who are committed to enhancing their skills in preparation for the next level of hockey. The NJPHL will showcase these players on their member teams at five showcase events across the United States in front of all levels of Prep School, Junior A, and NCAA Collegiate hockey programs. The League will make every attempt to accommodate and assist the member programs and players in promoting their efforts to communicate with these entities.
